Ecobank gives urgent notice to customers concerning  Ecobank cards

The management of Ecobank has given urgent notice to customers on Ecobank cards. 

In a flyer released by management of Ecobank, as they continue to provide customers with convenience and reliability, the bank also work to ensure that the safety of customers’ banking transactions remain their topmost priority. 

Ecobank is, therefore, implementing added measures to ensure the security of customers, as they use Ecobank cards on other third-party platforms. In view of this, customers may experience some declines on certain merchant platforms. Ecobank shall continue to explore ways to protect customers from the activities of fraudsters.

On your part, Ecobank urge customers never to share their card details, OTP, CVV, etc. with anyone, no matter how convincing, genuine, or professional the person may sound or the message may seem.

Ecobank is urging all customers to take steps to verify all third-party applications and websites before onboarding their cards and transacting on same.

Customers are to call 0800003225 for any support they may require or visit the Ecobank branch when they are unsure.
